Wednesday Evening Bible Study 6:30-7:45. Room 20 South.
This Bible study is devoted to studying the books of the Bible, verse by verse. We complete one book before moving to another. The process provides us opportunity to openly discuss such things as the historical background of a Scriptural passage and the significance of word meanings. We devote time to burden sharing, and rejoicing at answered prayers, as together we fellowship in Christ Jesus, our Lord. Contact Pastor Walt Crow (walt8391@gmail.com) for more information.

Anamchara 6:30-7:45. Starbucks on NW Expressway and MacArthur.
Anamchara is an ancient Celtic word meaning soul friend.  We meet on a semi-regular basis, usually on Wednesday nights to share thoughts on a designated current book and imbibe significant quantities of caffeine.  We hope to remain a fairly open group, where all are welcome to participate in the life of this community of like-minded folks. Contact Chris Yates for more information.

A Band of Sisters 6:30-7:45. Room 5

You don’t want to miss this time of sharing, growing, laughing and shedding a tear or two! Material fees may apply.  Please contact Stephanie Johnson (stephaniej@okcfirstnaz.org) for more information.  This ministry is sponsored by Authentic Families Ministry.

Hands to Work
6:30-7:45. Cry Room.
If you love handwork and would love to learn some more about mending, sewing and stitching, this class is for you. For more details, contact Lisa Nabors (748.4218). This group meets every other week.

Pop Music & The Psalms
6:30-7:45. Room 20 North. September 8-22
What do Tobey Keith, Bob Dylan, and King David have in common? Find out in Pop Music & the Psalms. Look at the Psalms as you never have before: as outcries to God from anguished hearts. Find out that the Psalm writers were not so far from Nashville’s heartbeat. Discover every range of emotion in the Psalms, and listen to today’s musical counterparts of emotional expression.

Parenting with Love and Logic 6:30-7:45. Room 9. September 8-October 20.
Do you want to raise responsible kids while setting limits for them and discipline with empathy instead of anger? Love & Logic is a common-sense approach that provides parents easy-to-learn skills that create respect, responsibility and good decision-making in youth. Material fees apply and RSVP is required. This class is taught by Jeffery Johnson. Please contact Stephanie Johnson (stephaniej@okcfirstnaz.org) for more information.

Worship 101 6:30-7:45. Room 20 North. September 29-October 20
What is authentic Christian worship?  Why is worship important for Christian living?  How do our worship practices shape us to be more like Christ? Why do we sing, pray and take Eucharist?  What do all the different colors and seasons mean? Worship 101 will explore these issues and others in a discussion format led by Tony Griffin, Word and Table Pastor and Kim Rosfeld, Worship Arts Pastor.  Together we will develop and strengthen our ability to authentically worship God in all areas of our life.

Science and Religion 6:30-7:45. Room 20 North. November 3-10.
Learn from Mark Winslow, PhD, and science professor at SNU, how science and religion can work hand in hand to teach us about life and God.

Living Your Strengths 6:30-7:45. Room 9. November 3-December 8.
This class, led by Stephanie Johnson and Mindy Banz, will help you follow your God-given talents to discover and fulfill your calling.  See page 17 for more information. Contact Stephanie Johnson (stephaniej@okcfirstnaz.org) for information on our next session.
